هذه المنطقة سميت بهذا الاسم.. نسبة للبحيره الموجوده الكبيره فيها و المتوسطه بين الجبال و من ثم استدارت المدينه حولها لتصبح مدينة صغيره جميله هادئه مرغوبه عند الكنديين بشكل كبير ....و تقع هذه المدينة..في برتش كولومبيا الخضراء .. وتبعد عن فانكوفر مايقارب 3 ساعات ونصف بالسياره في أتجاه الشمال .. هذه المدينه الجميله الرائعه الهادئه جميلة المنظر ... تتكون هذه المنطقة من داون تاون صغير.. وتوجد بها جامعة رئيسيه واحده و هي تعتبر ملفى سياحي لللكنديين ....
